Senior Commissions Analyst

The Senior Commission Analyst is responsible for commission administration - including calculation, record keeping and reporting - but not limited to data validation, process improvements, statement creation and continual adjustments, reporting analysis and ad hoc requests, calculating monthly accruals, submission to payroll of commission payments, and validation of exceptions through approved process. This position also works on the Sales Operations team and with the Sales Reps & Accounting to answer any questions they might have.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monthly manual calculation of Commission accrual and payments in Excel.
  • Creation of new Commission calculations due to new Sales Incentive Plans (SIPs), Contests or Bonuses.
  • Support Accounting reconciliation and operating expense analysis.
  • Address Jira help-desk tickets for commissions
  • Assist with additional projects on an ad-hoc basis.

Key Duties

  • Data Validation of inputs into Commission calculation.
  • Assist in implementation of Commission Calculation system.
  • Work closely with the Sales Ops team and Sales Reps to make sure statement questions are answered.
  • Support projects within the Sales Operations and Finance functions to ensure continuous improvement of processes and identify areas of improvement.

  • Advanced specialized knowledge and experience with complex commission plans.
  • Self-motivated, time efficient and proactive with ability to work under minimum supervision.

Required Education, Certifications, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or related field
  • 6 years of experience in a related field such as analytics or sales operations

  • Advanced/Expert level proficiency in Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Commissions experience strongly preferred
  • Commissions software experience (Spiff, Xactly) strongly preferred
