The Opportunity
As we continue to expand nationally, the Central Analytics team is seeking a new Associate Analytics Engineer. You will be responsible for designing and building reliable & performant data models and pipelines to provide actionable insights and accommodate needs from our cross-functional partners and distributed analysts across the organization.
You are someone that enjoys exploring data to identify large areas of opportunity to drive business impact and are able to ask the right questions to accurately analyze situations and can acquire data from multiple and diverse sources when solving problems. Not only that, you are also able to make sense of complex, high-quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to solve these problems through structured thinking and have shown the ability to drive results in accomplishing objectives despite obstacles and setbacks. You thrive at effective communication in a variety of settings, whether it’s one-on-one, small and large groups, or among diverse styles and position levels.
What you'll work on:
- Partner with folks across the company on developing flexible and scalable analytics to drive insights and decision making by internal customers
- Design and build reliable, performant and high quality data models and pipelines to provide actionable insights and accommodate needs for our cross-functional teams
- Build out suites of standard KPIs/metrics
- Work with the team to define how we model and warehouse data that is accessed by most teams and analysts across the company
- Engage in code reviews to ensure code committed is collectively maintainable by the team
- Build proper data quality detection tools to identify data issues in the data transformation stages and fix the problems to meet pipelines / table health SLAs
- Ensure all critical systems within team’s domain have appropriate and up to date documentation
- Champion the practice of making data-informed decisions by ensuring internal stakeholders such as the product management, operations, marketing, clinical effectiveness, finance and executive teams are making data driven decisions quickly and with confidence.
- Build and improve data tooling in partnership with data engineering and platform teams
You'll need:
- 2+ years experience as a practicing BI or Analytics Engineer, business intelligence analyst, or data analyst at a tech company; or an advanced degree without experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Bioinformatics, or other quantitative field
- Proficiency in SQL
- Knowledge of modern data warehouse (such as Snowflake, Big Query etc) and pipeline/data model building tools such as dbt
- Knowledge of data modeling and schema design concepts best practices
- Excellent communication skills in explaining complex technical concepts to less technical co-workers
- Excellent collaboration skills. Comfortable seeking and providing feedback while driving individual and team growth
- A growth mindset oriented towards proactive learning of new skills and business knowledge
Not required, but would be great if you also have:
- Healthcare Industry experience
- Experience using dbt
- Proficiency in Python (Object Oriented programming)

This is a full-time role based anywhere in the United States.
The base salary range for this role is $80,000 to $140,000. However, actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate. These factors include, but are not limited to, job related knowledge and skill set, depth of experience, certifications and/or degrees, and specific work location.
The total compensation package for certain roles may also include additional components such as a sign-on bonus, annual performance bonus, equity grants in the form of RSUs, medical and other benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
