Senior Product Designer, Clinical Team Experiences
Iora Health
About Us
One Medical is a primary care solution challenging the industry status quo by making quality care more affordable, accessible and enjoyable. But this isn’t your average doctor’s office. We’re on a mission to transform healthcare, which means improving the experience for everyone involved - from patients and providers to employers and health networks. Our seamless in-office and 24/7 virtual care services, on-site labs, and programs for preventive care, chronic care management, common illnesses and mental health concerns have been delighting people for the past fifteen years.
In February 2023 we marked a milestone when One Medical joined Amazon. Together, we look to deliver exceptional health care to more consumers, employers, care team members, and health networks to achieve better health outcomes. As we continue to grow and seek to impact more lives, we’re building a diverse, driven and empathetic team, while working hard to cultivate an environment where everyone can thrive.
The Opportunity
At One Medical we build the consumer, operational and clinical tools used by our members, providers and admins in-house. This unique level of integration and ownership allows us to develop innovative products and services that are addressing some of the most difficult problems in healthcare.
We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to help solve problems for our care team facing experiences. Specifically with our health records system, focused on workflows that enable administrators and supporting roles to do their job more efficiently. This role sits on our Charting team and reports to our Senior Product Design Manager. This team is where we specialize in creating innovative systems to abstract the complexity of modern medicine so that our providers can focus on what matters most; taking care of their patients.
You’ll work on initiatives that consider the entire lifecycle of product and user experience, from early concepting in design sprints, building and testing prototypes, shipping designs, and reviewing the success of launched features. You’ll also think through the end-to-end service design with our cross-functional team members from the product development organization as well as from our clinical and operations teams.
You’ll be successful in this role if you have experience with internal tools or are excited about building core user flows that facilitate the way care teams deliver health outcomes. You’re comfortable leading workshops with cross functional stakeholders to drive outcomes. You know how to navigate through ambiguity, and have proven success iterating quickly, solving complex problems through analysis, wisdom and judgment. You’re humble, focus on craft, quality, and have a proven ability to prioritize and deliver outcomes that have a meaningful impact.
What you'll work on:
- Partner with Product Managers and Engineers to gather and evaluate user requirements, help create product strategy, and share thoughtful, high quality designs.
- Partner directly with teams at the front lines of patient care to help improve system workflows
- Prepare and conduct user research as needed to uncover opportunities, user needs and test designs.
- Design user flows, service maps and digital product interfaces that span across platforms in close collaboration with other designers and cross-functional product teams.
- Design and lead cross-functional workshops
You’ll need:
- 5+ years of product design experience in an agile environment or equivalent.
- 2+ years experience designing for B2B, B2C, enterprise platforms, internal tools, or a complex suite of product experiences.
- An online portfolio including deep dives to several projects you’ve worked on, and your journey to the final solution.
- Experience executing design projects from the beginning to the end (e.g., user research, UX flows, UI design, QA).
- Ability to thrive working in small cross-functional teams with product managers, engineers, clinical stakeholders, and QA, among others.
- A focus on human and value-centered design—you think about design decisions that drive the business forward while ensuring all users get the best experience.
- Examples of complex workflows, and how your solutions guided users through complexity to achieve outcomes
- Unconventional design backgrounds like bootcamps, analogous skills or self taught are encouraged to apply.
