Summary:
We are actively hiring a full-time Staff QA Automation Engineer who wants to play a role in helping create something meaningful that will greatly impact people’s lives. Bamboo Health supports several customer facing web-based applications that facilitate care coordination.
As a Staff QA Automation Engineer, you will join a QA automation team responsible for the development and maintenance of test assets. You will work closely with QA engineers, software engineers, cloud engineers, product owners and managers in an Agile environment. You will be expected to make a significant impact on increasing automation coverage, reducing manual testing effort, and improving software release quality. You will be expected to gain domain knowledge so that you can participate in designing the test cases and troubleshooting failures. In this highly visible role, you will be a self-starter and enjoy working in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment, interact with and understand end-user software requirements, know product or domain knowledge, and know how to build and maintain test automation tools. You are detail oriented, curious, eager to learn how things work and strives for excellence.
What You’ll Do:
• Enhance and extend the automation library.
• Work on automation testing for all existing systems.
• Mentor and share the testing best practices with the scrum teams.
• Engage in cross-functional integration testing with engineering teams and with third parties.
• Work in each sprint on tests to ensure quality of new features while gradually building out test coverage.
• Technical ownership of software testing infrastructure and improving product quality.
• Research, develop and/or recommend tools to assist the team.
• Advocate for and champion quality development inside of engineering team.
• Ensure the release of high-quality software in every sprint cycle.
What Success Looks Like…
In 3 months…
• Become familiar with our QA automation frameworks, QA processes, and QA best practices.
• Develop an understanding of Bamboo Health product lines and technical stacks.
In 6 months…
• Maintain test scripts of existing automated test suites.
• Understand the business requirements of our suite of products.
• Understand how new product features fit within QA automation.
• Work with the engineering team to identify risk and effort of new features to be automated.
• Prioritize new QA automation efforts for regression suites.
In 12 months…
• Identify, record, track software defects, and work closely with the engineering team to ensure timely resolution.
• Own CI/CD pipeline testing to ensure issues are diagnosed and resolved as soon as possible.
• Participate in enterprise QA automation strategy and roadmap.
• Contribute to the design and architecture of automation projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure test automation coverage.
• Contribute to QA automation process improvement.
What You Need:
• BS in Computer Science, a relevant field of study, or equivalent experience.
• 10 + years of experience with software testing, including writing and executing automated test scripts.
• Strong practical QA principles and practices foundation, including test strategy, planning, execution, and automation.
• Expertise with hands-on scripting/coding experience in any automation testing tools (Java, Selenium, Cucumber framework, TestNG, Allure Report, etc.).
• Experience with web application testing and debugging browser errors and failures.
• Experience with testing and automating secure web services and APIs.
• Experience writing SQL queries.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD tools.
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to multi-task, triage issues, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Must be self-motivated and know when to seek guidance
• Ability to learn and actively seek new skills and knowledge to keep up with the changing technologies, including bringing new ideas to the team
• Promote QA productivity through automation, tools, and other best practices
• Mentor junior and senior QA engineers.
• Work with geographically dispersed teams.
• A work environment that is conducive to high quality virtual interactions. This includes but is not limited to being able to work from a quiet space with minimal interruptions or distractions, and a strong internet connection.
• The ability to travel periodically for work.
• A high level of judgment, analytical ability and creativity in investigating problems that require original and innovative solutions.
Desired:
● Experience within Cloud technologies (AWS preferred)
● Intermediate or advanced experience with Linux distributions
● Experience with Kotlin

• Automation framework using Java, Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, and Allure Reports
• APIs testing and automation using ReadyAPI, Postman, RestAssured, etc.
• Performance testing tools (Akamai CloudTest, ReadyAPI)
